بستی بھی سمندر بھی بیاباں بھی مرا ہے

بستی بھی سمندر بھی بیاباں بھی مرا ہے

آنکھیں بھی مری خواب پریشاں بھی مرا ہے

جو ڈوبتی جاتی ہے وہ کشتی بھی ہے میری

جو ٹوٹتا جاتا ہے وہ پیماں بھی مرا ہے

جو ہاتھ اٹھے تھے وہ سبھی ہاتھ تھے میرے

جو چاک ہوا ہے وہ گریباں بھی مرا ہے

جس کی کوئی آواز نہ پہچان نہ منزل

وہ قافلۂ بے سر و ساماں بھی مرا ہے

ویرانۂ مقتل پہ حجاب آیا تو اس بار

خود چیخ پڑا میں کہ یہ عنواں بھی مرا ہے

وارفتگیٔ صبح بشارت کو خبر کیا

اندیشۂ صد شام غریباں بھی مرا ہے

میں وارث گل ہوں کہ نہیں ہوں مگر اے جان

خمیازۂ توہین بہاراں بھی مرا ہے

مٹی کی گواہی سے بڑی دل کی گواہی

یوں ہو تو یہ زنجیر یہ زنداں بھی مرا ہے
