یہ شہر اب بھی اسی بے وفا کا لگتا ہے

یہ تیرے میرے چراغوں کی ضد جہاں سے چلی

وہیں کہیں سے علاقہ ہوا کا لگتا ہے

دل ان کے ساتھ مگر تیغ اور شخص کے ساتھ

یہ سلسلہ بھی کچھ اہل ریا کا لگتا ہے

نئی گرہ نئے ناخن نئے مزاج کے قرض

مگر یہ پیچ بہت ابتدا کا لگتا ہے

کہاں میں اور کہاں فیضان نغمہ و آہنگ

کرشمہ سب در و بست نوا کا لگتا ہے
