دن کے لمحوں میں مرے دل کی صدا ہے کوئی
شب کی ظلمت میں تبسم کی ضیا ہے کوئی
چلئے اچھا ہے مرے پیچھے پڑا ہے کوئی
میرے بارے میں تو کچھ سوچ رہا ہے کوئی
سانس لینے نہیں دیتی ہے مسائل کی چبھن
زندگانی کی سزا کاٹ رہا ہے کوئی
کیا تری آنکھ کی گہرائی میں شعلے ہیں نہاں
کس طرح جھیل کے پانی سے جلا ہے کوئی
التفاتؔ اس کی جبیں پر ہے تقدس کی چمک
جب سے کردار کے سانچے میں ڈھلا ہے کوئی

shab ki zulmat mein tabassum ki ziya hai koi
chaliye achchha hai mere pichhe paDa hai koi
mere bare mein to kuchh soch raha hai koi
sans lene nahin deti hai masail ki chubhan
zindagani ki saza kaT raha hai koi
kya teri aankh ki gahrai mein shoale hain nihan
kis tarah jhil ke pani se jala hai koi
'iltifat' us ki jabin par hai taqaddus ki chamak
jab se kirdar ke sanche mein Dhala hai koi
