باغ اک دن کا ہے سو رات نہیں آنے کی

وہ پری پھر سے مرے ہات نہیں آنے کی

اب وہ لڑکی نہیں آنے کی مرے کالج میں

اب کے ملتان سے سوغات نہیں آنے کی

تم چلی جاؤ یہ پتھر نہیں پہلے جیسا

آنکھ سے جوئے مناجات نہیں آنے کی

اب جو یہ وصل ہے اس وصل کو بے کار سمجھ

ہم پہ رنگینیٔ حالات نہیں آنے کی

دیکھ لو کھول کے کھڑکی کہ ذرا دیر ہیں ہم

دوسری بار یہ بارات نہیں آنے کی

اب ترے بعد فقط آب ہی اترے گا یہاں

اب کے برسات میں برسات نہیں آنے کی
