کفیل ساعت سیار رکھا ہوتا ہے

کہ ہم نے دل یونہی سرشار رکھا ہوتا ہے

میں رکھ کے جاتا ہوں کھڑکی میں کچھ گلاب کے پھول

کسی نے سایۂ دیوار رکھا ہوتا ہے

عجیب لوگ ہیں دیوار شب پہ چلتے ہیں

چراغ جیب میں بے کار رکھا ہوتا ہے

کبھی کبھار اسے پھل پھول لگنے لگتے ہیں

ہمارے شانوں پہ جو بار رکھا ہوتا ہے

عجیب شہر ہے پتھر اسی پہ آتا ہے

جو آئنہ پس دیوار رکھا ہوتا ہے
