عشق کرتا ہوں، تقاضا نہیں کر سکتا میں

مرا دامن ہے سو میلا نہیں کر سکتا میں

اتنی فرصت ہے کہ اک دنیا بنا سکتا ہوں

پر کوئی ہے جسے اپنا نہیں کر سکتا میں

کتنے لوگوں نے ان آنکھوں سے شفا پائی ہے

ایک بیمار کو اچھا نہیں کر سکتا میں

گھر سے نکلا تو یہ ممکن ہے بھٹک ہی جاؤں

یار اب اپنا تو پیچھا نہیں کر سکتا میں

رات بھر شور مچاتا ہے کسی خوف کے تحت

اپنے ہم زاد پہ پرچہ نہیں کر سکتا میں

آخری سانس ہے کچھ مجھ پہ کرم ہو صیاد

دیکھ اب اور تماشا نہیں کر سکتا میں

بھیک بھی چاہیے اس دست سخی سے مجھ کو

اور دامن بھی کشادہ نہیں کر سکتا میں
