میرے آگے تذکرہ معشوق و عاشق کا برا

اگلی باتیں مجھ کو یاد آتی ہیں یہ چرچا برا

ناگہانی تھی جو میں عاشق ہوا رسوا ہوا

چاہتا ہے کوئی دنیا میں بھلا اپنا برا

ہے یہی صورت تو ہم سے راز پوشی ہو چکی

چشم تر لب خشک چہرہ زرد یہ نقشہ برا

ہم غریبوں سے نہ پوچھو نعمت دنیا کا حال

شکر کر کے کھا لیا جو کچھ ملا اچھا برا

ایک بوسے پر بھی میرا دل نہ صاحب نے لیا

اتنی قیمت پر تو اچھا تھا نہ اتنا تھا برا

کر گزریے میرے حق میں آپ جو منظور ہو

آئے دن کا معرکہ ہر روز کا جھگڑا برا

آدمی ہوتا ہے سرگرداں بگولے کی طرح

آندھیاں اچھی ہوا و حرص کا جھونکا برا

آئے جب وعدے کے شب مہندی لگا بیٹھا وہ شوخ

دوسری رات استخارہ آنے کو آیا برا

بن کے اڑ ناگن موذن کو ڈسے زلف صنم

وصل کی شب کو اذان صبح کا کھٹکا برا

آنکھ سے دیکھو گی وہ کچھ آبرو کو رؤو گی

جھانک تاک اچھی نہیں اے بحرؔ یہ لپکا برا
