اس کی ہستی قضا کی قید میں ہے
جو پرندہ ہوا کی قید میں ہے
اس سے بہتر ہے یار مر جاؤں
میرا جینا خدا کی قید میں ہے
شب سے خائف ہے نیند کی تتلی
خواب دست حنا کی قید میں ہے
دل مری آنکھ میں دھڑکتا ہے
آنکھ تیری ادا کی قید میں ہے
سب قبیلے ہیں خون کے پیاسے
ساری بستی انا کی قید میں ہے
چھوڑ کر پھر سے لوٹ آتا ہے
تو مری کس دعا کی قید میں ہے
وہ ضیا کو بھی پھونک سکتا ہے
جو اندھیرا ضیا کی قید میں ہے
وہ ہے آزاد ہر حوالے سے
جو بشر کربلا کی قید میں ہے
میں جوانی میں ہو گیا بوڑھا
ابتدا انتہا کی قید میں ہے
تم شفا ڈھونڈتے ہو دنیا میں
اور وہ خاک شفا کی قید میں ہے
جان راہبؔ سماعتوں کا ہجوم
تری اندھی صدا کی قید میں ہے
