مجھ پر نگاہ گردش دوراں نہیں رہی
شاید کسی کی زلف پریشاں نہیں رہی
وحشت تک آ گیا ہے محبت کا سلسلہ
اب مجھ کو فکر جیب و گریباں نہیں رہی
میرے جگر میں خون کے قطرے نہیں رہے
ان کی نظر میں برش پنہاں نہیں رہی
ذوق طلب سے تیری عنایات بڑھ گئیں
میری نظر میں وسعت داماں نہیں رہی
دل یوں بجھا بجھا سا ہی کھو کر تمہاری یاد
محفل میں جیسے شمع فروزاں نہیں رہی
کس درجہ دل شکن ہے گلستاں کا انقلاب
بلبل بھی اب چمن میں غزل خواں نہیں رہی
اقبالؔ سرد ہو گئی بزم حیات بھی
جب سے دلوں میں آتش سوزاں نہیں رہی

wahshat tak aa gaya hai mohabbat ka silsila
ab mujh ko fikr-e-jeb-o-gariban nahin rahi
mere jigar mein KHun ke qatre nahin rahe
un ki nazar mein barash-e-pinhan nahin rahi
zauq-e-talab se teri inayat baDh gain
meri nazar mein wusat-e-daman nahin rahi
dil yun bujha bujha sa hi kho kar tumhaari yaad
mahfil mein jaise sham-e-farozan nahin rahi
kis darja dil-shikan hai gulistan ka inqalab
bulbul bhi ab chaman mein ghazal-KHwan nahin rahi
'iqbaal' sard ho gai bazm-e-hayat bhi
jab se dilon mein aatish-e-sozan nahin rahi
