بچا کر دل گزرتا جا رہا ہوں ہر تعلق سے

کہاں اس آبلے کو تاب ہے اب چوٹ سہنے کی

رگ و پے میں نہ ہنگامہ کرے تو کیا کرے آخر

اجازت جب نہیں اس رنج کو آنکھوں سے بہنے کی

بس اپنی اپنی ترجیحات، اپنی اپنی خواہش ہے

تجھے شہرت کمانے کی، مجھے اک شعر کہنے کی

جہاں کا ہوں، وہیں کی راس آئے گی فضا مجھ کو

یہ دنیا بھی بھلا کوئی جگہ ہے میرے رہنے کی؟

جو کل عرفانؔ پر گزری سنا کچھ اس کے بارے میں؟

خبر تم نے سنی طوفان میں دریا کے بہنے کی
