اک مصر تازہ بھی مگر کہہ نہ سکا میں

اک دست رفاقت کی طلب لے کے بڑھا میں

انبوہ طرحدار میں اک شور اٹھا میں

آ تجھ کو تقابل میں الجھنے سے بچا لوں

سب کچھ ہے تری ذات میں باقی جو بچا میں

میں اور کہاں خود‌ نگری یاد ہے تجھ کو

جب تو نے مرا نام لیا میں نے کہا میں

میں ایک بگولہ سا اٹھا دشت جنوں سے

روکا مجھے دنیا نے بہت پر نہ رکا میں

یا مجھ سے گزاری نہ گئی عمر گریزاں

یا عمر گریزاں سے گزارا نہ گیا میں

معلوم ہوا مجھ میں کوئی رمز نہیں ہے

اک عمر ریاضت سے گزرنے پہ کھلا میں

جو رات بسر کی تھی مرے ہجر میں تو نے

اس رات بہت دیر ترے ساتھ رہا میں
