ہم اگر آئینہ خانوں ہی میں جانے لگ جائیں

کیا تماشا ہے کہ جب بکنے پہ راضی ہو یہ دل

اہل بازار دکانوں کو بڑھانے لگ جائیں

پاؤں میں خاک ہی زنجیر گراں ہے کہ نہیں

پوچھنا لوگ جب اس شہر سے جانے لگ جائیں

عاشقی کے بھی کچھ آداب ہوا کرتے ہیں

زخم کھایا ہے تو کیا حشر اٹھانے لگ جائیں

اور کس طرح کریں حسن خداداد کا شکر

شعر لکھنے لگیں تصویر بنانے لگ جائیں

کچھ تو ظاہر ہو کہ ہیں جشن میں شامل ہم لوگ

کچھ نہیں ہے تو چلو خاک اڑانے لگ جائیں
