خود اپنے زہر کا تریاق میرے پاس نہ تھا

سلگ رہا ہوں خود اپنی ہی آگ میں کب سے

یہ مشغلہ تو مرے درد کی اساس نہ تھا

تری نوازش پیہم کے نقش دل میں رہے

میں بے خبر سہی پر ایسا نا سپاس نہ تھا

ہر ایک شعر تھا میرا مرے خیال کا عکس

کوئی کتاب نہ تھی کوئی اقتباس نہ تھا

بکھر گئے تھے سو خود کو سمیٹ بھی لیتے

کہ اس یقین میں شامل مرا قیاس نہ تھا
