آج تک دل کی آرزو ہے وہی

پھول مرجھا گیا ہے بو ہے وہی

سو بہاریں جہاں میں آئی گئیں

مایۂ صد بہار تو ہے وہی

جو ہو پوری وہ آرزو ہی نہیں

جو نہ پوری ہو آرزو ہے وہی

مان لیتا ہوں تیرے وعدے کو

بھول جاتا ہوں میں کہ تو ہے وہی

تجھ سے سو بار مل چکے لیکن

تجھ سے ملنے کی آرزو ہے وہی

صبر آ جائے اس کی کیا امید

میں وہی، دل وہی ہے، تو ہے وہی

ہو گئی ہے بہار میں کچھ اور

ورنہ ساغر وہی سبو ہے وہی

عمر گزری تلاش میں لیکن

گرمیٔ ہائے جستجو ہے وہی

مے کدہ کا جلیلؔ رنگ نہ پوچھ

رقص جام و خم و سبو ہے وہی
