بن ترے کیا کروں جہاں لے کر

یہ زمیں اور یہ آسماں لے کر

اشک چھلکائے بال بکھرائے

وہ گئے میری داستاں لے کر

دو جہاں کی طلب سے فارغ ہوں

تیرا در تیرا آستاں لے کر

اڑ گئے سب چمن کو رہ گئے ہم

چار تنکوں کا آشیاں لے کر

رنگ محفل ترا بڑھانے کو

آئے ہم چشم خوں فشاں لے کر

سب گئے پوچھنے مزاج ان کا

میں گیا اپنی داستاں لے کر

سب پھرے لے کے اپنے یوسف کو

میں پھرا گرد کارواں لے کر

سب اڑے لے کے پھول گلشن سے

اور ہم اپنا آشیاں لے کر

میری تقدیر کیا بتاؤں جلیلؔ

جا رہی ہے کہاں کہاں لے کر
