دل کی طرف دماغ سے وہ آنے والا ہے

یہ بھی مکان ہاتھ سے اب جانے والا ہے

اک لہر اس کی آنکھ میں ہے حوصلہ شکن

اک رنگ اس کے چہرے پہ بہکانے والا ہے

یہ کون آنے جانے لگا اس گلی میں اب

یہ کون میری داستاں دہرانے والا ہے

دنیا پسند آنے لگی دل کو اب بہت

سمجھو کہ اب یہ باغ بھی مرجھانے والا ہے

جو ساعت حسیں تھی وہ روکے نہیں رکی

یہ لمحہ بھی جمالؔ گزر جانے والا ہے
