وہ بھی ملنے نئی پوشاک بدل کر آیا

میں جو کل پیرہن خاک بدل کر آیا

اے زمیں زاد تری رفعتیں چھونے کے لیے

تجھ تلک میں کئی افلاک بدل کر آیا

اس کو راس آئی ہے یہ بزم جہاں جو بھی یہاں

اپنا پیمانۂ ادراک بدل کر آیا

عشق میں کوئی تکلف کی ضرورت تو نہیں

پھر وہ کیوں دیدۂ نمناک بدل کر آیا

ہم سے کر بے سر و سامانئ ہجرت پہ سوال

اس سے مت پوچھ جو املاک بدل کر آیا

آنسوؤں سے نہ بدل پایا رخ باد جمالؔ

پر مزاج خس و خاشاک بدل کر آیا
