ایک قدم خشکی پر ہے اور دوسرا پانی میں

ساری عمر بسر کر دی ہے نقل مکانی میں

آنسو بہتے ہیں اور دل یہ سوچ کے ڈرتا ہے

آنکھ کہیں کوئی بات نہ کہہ دے اس سے روانی میں

راہ میں سارے چراغ اسی کے دم سے روشن ہیں

جو پیماں ہوا سے باندھا تھا نادانی میں

سارے ساحل سارے ساگر اس کی ہیں میراث

جس کے پاؤں زمیں پر ٹھہریں بہتے پانی میں

دو جیون تاراج ہوئے تب پوری ہوئی بات

کیسا پھول کھلا ہے اور کیسی ویرانی میں

جب اسے دیکھو آنکھ اور دل کو ساتھ ملا لینا

اک آئینہ کم پڑ جائے گا حیرانی میں
