ایک سایہ مرا مسیحا تھا

کون جانے وہ کون تھا کیا تھا

وہ فقط صحن تک ہی آتی تھی

میں بھی حجرے سے کم نکلتا تھا

تجھ کو بھولا نہیں وہ شخص کہ جو

تیری بانہوں میں بھی اکیلا تھا

جان لیوا تھیں خواہشیں ورنہ

وصل سے انتظار اچھا تھا

بات تو دل شکن ہے پر یارو

عقل سچی تھی عشق جھوٹا تھا

اپنے معیار تک نہ پہنچا میں

مجھ کو خود پر بڑا بھروسہ تھا

جسم کی صاف گوئی کے با وصف

روح نے کتنا جھوٹ بولا تھا
