وہ بھی سراہنے لگے ارباب فن کے بعد

داد سخن ملی مجھے ترک سخن کے بعد

دیوانہ وار چاند سے آگے نکل گئے

ٹھہرا نہ دل کہیں بھی تری انجمن کے بعد

ہونٹوں کو سی کے دیکھیے پچھتائیے گا آپ

ہنگامے جاگ اٹھتے ہیں اکثر گھٹن کے بعد

غربت کی ٹھنڈی چھاؤں میں یاد آئی اس کی دھوپ

قدر وطن ہوئی ہمیں ترک وطن کے بعد

اعلان حق میں خطرۂ دار و رسن تو ہے

لیکن سوال یہ ہے کہ دار و رسن کے بعد

انساں کی خواہشوں کی کوئی انتہا نہیں

دو گز زمیں بھی چاہئے دو گز کفن کے بعد
