دیوی کیا تُو جاگ رہی ہے

مجھ کو ایسا کیوں لگتا ہے

جیسے کوئی دستِ مصور، تیرے رسیلے ہونٹوں پر

اِک سُندر سی مُسکان سجا کر پھول کھِلانا بھُول گیا ہے

مجھ کو ایسا کیوں لگتا ہے

تیرے بھرے بھرے سینے پر، نِرمل لہروں کی ترتیب سے

وقت مدوّر نقش بنا کر اِن کو جھلانا بھُول گیا ہے

شاید ایسا ہی ہونا تھا

شاید ایسا ہی لکھا تھا

لیکن کیا تُو جانتی ہے کہ تیرے پُجاری

تجھ کو طاقِ عقیدت میں رکھنے کے بعد

اب لمبی تان کے سوئے پڑے ہیں

اور یہ تیرا شاعر دیوی

اپنی نَمرتا میں ڈوبی، کچھ کومل کومل نظمیں لے کر

پَو پھٹنے کے ایک مہُورت سے کچھ پہلے

تیرے بند جھروکے پر، تاروں کی جھلمل دیکھ رہا ہے

دیوی! کیا تُو جاگ رہی ہے؟
