اداس اداس رہا شہر سارا تیرے بعد
جو آسماں پہ ہمارے لیے چمکتا تھا
وہ مجھ سے روٹھ گیا ہے ستارہ تیرے بعد
لگا کے زخموں پہ مرہم تمہاری یادوں کا
کچھ ایسے دل کو مری جاں سنوارا تیرے بعد
تو ساتھ تھا تو میں سب جھیلتا تھا دنیا کو
کسی کے ناز کروں کیوں گوارہ تیرے بعد
ہزاروں لوگ مرے خیر خواہ تھے لیکن
کسی کو بھی نہیں میں نے پکارا تیرے بعد
خلیلؔ اپنے مقدر میں اب خوشی ہی نہیں
میں ہر کسی سے لڑا اور ہارا تیرے بعد

wo mujh se ruTh gaya hai sitara tere baad
laga ke zaKHmon pe marham tumhaari yaadon ka
kuchh aise dil ko meri jaan sanwara tere baad
tu sath tha to main sab jhelta tha duniya ko
kisi ke naz karun kyun gawara tere baad
hazaron log mere KHair-KHwah the lekin
kisi ko bhi nahin main ne pukara tere baad
'KHalil' apne muqaddar mein ab KHushi hi nahin
main har kisi se laDa aur haara tere baad
