عقاب دل ہو تو سارا جہان ایک سا ہے
زمین کوئی بھی ہو آسمان ایک سا ہے
کوئی ٹھکانہ وطن کا بدل نہیں ہوتا
مہاجروں کے لئے ہر مکان ایک سا ہے
تعینات علاقہ برادری فرقے
سپاہ جہل کہیں ہو نشان ایک سا ہے
وہ کوئی صاحب جاگیر ہو کہ ملا ہو
مگر ہمارے لیے قہرمان ایک سا ہے
نگاہ مسند اعلیٰ پہ روز اول سے
دیار یار کا ہر پاسبان ایک سا ہے
پناہ دامن قانون میں نہ مسجد میں
ہمارے شہر میں ہر سائبان ایک سا ہے
ہماری آنکھ کا تارا وہ ہو نہیں سکتا
تمام بزم پہ جو مہربان ایک سا ہے
فلوج و نجف و کربلا سے پہلے وہ
سمجھ رہے تھے کہ ہر بے زبان ایک سا ہے
ہزار بار بھی لٹ کر سبق نہیں سیکھا
وفا کے شہر میں ہر خوش گمان ایک سا ہے
جہاد سیف ہو خالدؔ کہ ہو جہاد قلم
کسی زبان میں ہو امتحان ایک سا ہے
