مہ جبیں نجم
یادوں سے خالی دل کی یہ کن وادیوں کے بیچ
تنہا کھڑی ہوئی ہوں میں تنہائیوں کے بیچ
ہونٹوں پہ میرے حرف شکایت کہاں رہا
حیران ہو رہی ہوں میں خاموشیوں کے بیچ
بچوں نے اس کے رنگ بھرے پر کتر دئے
تتلی اک اڑ رہی تھی جو رعنائیوں کے بیچ
مشکل لگی جو زیست گزارے چلے گئے
دامن خرد کا تھام کے نادانیوں کے بیچ
دنیا کو کیا خبر کہ ہے کتنا عزیز تر
احساس جو ہوا تھا پشیمانیوں کے بیچ
لو پھر سے تیز ہو گئی لو شمع یاد کی
پھر نجمؔ مضطرب سی ہے پرچھائیوں کے بیچ

honTon pe mere harf-e-shikayat kahan raha
hairan ho rahi hun main KHamoshiyon ke bich
bachchon ne us ke rang bhare par katar diye
titli ek uD rahi thi jo ranaiyon ke bich
mushkil lagi jo zist guzare chale gae
daman KHirad ka tham ke nadaniyon ke bich
duniya ko kya KHabar ki hai kitna aziz-tar
ehsas jo hua tha pashemaniyon ke bich
lo phir se tez ho gai lau shama-e-yaad ki
phir 'najm' muztarib si hai parchhaiyon ke bich
