مدت میں ادھر پھر وہ گل بار نظر آئے

صحرا میں بہاروں کے آثار نظر آئے

کیا راز مشیت تھا ہم عالم ہستی میں

مجبور رہے لیکن مختار نظر آئے

مستی بھری آنکھوں سے جب اس نے ہمیں دیکھا

مسرور نظر آئے سرشار نظر آئے

دیکھے ہیں محبت کے ہم نے یہ کرشمے بھی

اک بار چھپے گر وہ سو بار نظر آئے

پھر مست گھٹا چھائی پھر پڑنے لگیں بوندیں

پھر جام بکف ہر سو مے خوار نظر آئے

مدہوش فضاؤں میں پھر قوس قزح دمکی

پھر قامت رنگیں کے انوار نظر آئے

ان مست نگاہوں نے خود اپنا بھرم کھولا

انکار کے پردے میں اقرار نظر آئے

ہم بادہ پرستوں نے چھیڑی جو حدیث مے

کھلتے ہوئے دنیا کے اسرار نظر آئے

ہر روح میں دیکھی ہے اے نقشؔ خلش غم کی

ہر پھول کے پہلو میں کچھ خار نظر آئے
