اور ان کے کرم نے مارا بھی

عشق ہی پھر پلٹ کے آ نہ سکا

حسن مغرور نے پکارا بھی

کون ڈوبا جو یوں پشیماں ہے

موج طوفاں بھی تیز دھارا بھی

ہم نہ دنیا کی راہ پر چلتے

دل کو ہوتا اگر گوارا بھی

عمر بھر تیرگی سے کھیلے ہے

کوئی ہنستا ہوا ستارا بھی

پھول روتے ہیں خار ہنستے ہیں

دیکھ! گلشن کا یہ نظارا بھی

دل کی دنیا تو جگمگا اٹھے

نقشؔ بھڑکے کوئی شرارا بھی
