تمہیں بتاؤ کہ ہے کس کے پاس تنہائی

کھڑی ہے شہر کی سرحد کے پاس تنہائی

اسی لیے تو نہ صحرا میں ہے نہ بستی میں

کہ ہو نہ جائے کہیں بے لباس تنہائی

طویل ہجر نے دونوں کو یوں خراب کیا

کہ اس کے پاس نہ اب میرے پاس تنہائی

اندھیری رات میں آنکھوں میں خواب کی صورت

کبھی کبھی نظر آئی اداس تنہائی
