دم گھٹ رہا ہے سایۂ ابر بہار میں

آتی ہے اپنے جسم کے جلنے کی بو مجھے

لٹتے ہیں نکہتوں کے سبو جب بہار میں

گزرا ادھر سے جب کوئی جھونکا تو چونک کر

دل نے کہا یہ آ گئے ہم کس دیار میں

میں ایک پل کے رنج فراواں میں کھو گیا

مرجھا گئے زمانے مرے انتظار میں

ہے کنج عافیت تجھے پا کر پتہ چلا

کیا ہمہمے تھے گرد‌ سر رہ گزار میں
