ہر وقت فکر مرگ غریبانہ چاہئے

صحت کا ایک پہلو مریضانہ چاہئے

دنیائے بے طریق میں جس سمت بھی چلو

رستے میں اک سلام رفیقانہ چاہئے

آنکھوں میں امڈے روح کی نزدیکیوں کے ساتھ

ایسا بھی ایک دور کا یارانہ چاہئے

کیا پستیوں کی ذلتیں کیا عظمتوں کے فوز

اپنے لیے عذاب جداگانہ چاہئے

اب درد شش بھی سانس کی کوشش میں ہے شریک

اب کیا ہو اب تو نیند کو آ جانا چاہئے

روشن ترائیوں سے اترتی ہوا میں آج

دو چار گام لغزش مستانہ چاہئے

امجدؔ ان اشک بار زمانوں کے واسطے

اک ساعت بہار کا نذرانہ چاہئے
