آنسوؤں کی ایک چادر تن گئی ہے
دیکھنے میں روشنی ہی روشنی ہے
سوکھے پتے سب اکٹھے ہو گئے ہیں
راستے میں ایک دیوار آ گئی ہے
غم کا ریلا ذہن ہی کو لے اڑا ہے
سوچئے تو آندھیوں کی کیا کمی ہے
چلّو چلّو روشنی کو پی رہا ہوں
موج دریا قطرہ قطرہ چاندنی ہے
رات میں دھنکا ہوا سورج پڑا تھا
دن میں ماجدؔ دھوپ کالی ہو گئی ہے

sukhe patte sab ikaTThe ho gae hain
raste mein ek diwar aa gai hai
gham ka rela zehn hi ko le uDa hai
sochiye to aandhiyon ki kya kami hai
chullu-chullu raushni ko pi raha hun
mauj-e-dariya qatra qatra chandni hai
raat mein dhunka hua suraj paDa tha
din mein 'majid' dhup kali ho gai hai
