کسک پرانے زمانے کی ساتھ لایا ہے

ترا خیال کہ برسوں کے بعد آیا ہے

کسی نے کیوں مرے قدموں تلے بچھایا ہے

وہ راستہ کہ کہیں دھوپ ہے نہ سایا ہے

ڈگر ڈگر وہی گلیاں چلی ہیں ساتھ مرے

قدم قدم پہ ترا شہر یاد آیا ہے

بتا رہی ہے یہ شدت اجاڑ موسم کی

شگفت گل کا زمانہ قریب آیا ہے

ہوائے شب سے کہو آئے پھر بجھانے کو

چراغ ہم نے سر شام پھر جلایا ہے

کہو یہ ڈوبتے تاروں سے دو گھڑی رک جائیں

نشان گم شدگاں مدتوں میں پایا ہے

بس اب یہ پیاس کا صحرا عبور کر جاؤ

ندی نے پھر تمہیں اپنی طرف بلایا ہے

فسون خواب تماشا کہ ٹوٹتا جائے

میں سو رہا تھا یہ کس نے مجھے جگایا ہے

سلگ اٹھے ہیں شرارے بدن میں کیوں مخمورؔ

خنک ہوا نے جو بڑھ کر گلے لگایا ہے
