دید دنیا حباب کی سی ہے
اس کی تعبیر خواب کی سی ہے
ساقیا مے کہاں ہے شیشے میں
روشنی آفتاب کی سی ہے
پیرہن میں نمود تن سے ترے
ہلکی ایک تہ شہاب کی سی ہے
کس کا وصف دہن کیا تھا کہ آج
منہ میں خوشبو گلاب کی سی ہے
حالت اب دل کی ہجر میں معروفؔ
ایک شہر خراب کی سی ہے

halki ek tah shahab ki si hai
kis ka wasf dahan kiya tha ki aaj
munh mein KHushbu gulab ki si hai
haalat ab dil ki hijr mein 'maruf'
ek shahr-e-KHarab ki si hai
