پھر تمنا کو یہاں مژدۂ مایوسی ہے
میری ہی طرح جگر خوں ہے ترا مدت سے
اے حنا کس کی تجھے خواہش پا بوسی ہے
آہ اے کثرت داغ غم خوباں کہ مدام
صفحۂ سینہ پر از جلوۂ طاؤسی ہے
تہمت عشق عبث کرتے ہیں مجھ کو منتؔ
ہاں یہ سچ ملنے کی خوباں سے تو اک خو سی ہے

phir tamanna ko yahan muzhda-e-mayusi hai
meri hi tarah jigar KHun hai tera muddat se
ai hina kis ki tujhe KHwahish-e-pa-bosi hai
aah ai kasrat-e-dagh-e-gham-e-KHuban ki mudam
safha-e-sina pur-az-jalwa-e-tausi hai
tohmat-e-ishq abas karte hain mujh ko 'minnat'
han ye sach milne ki KHuban se to ek KHu si hai
