جھانکتے لوگ کھلے دروازے

چاند کا شہر بنے دروازے

کس کی آہٹ کا فسوں طاری ہے

محو ہیں آج بڑے دروازے

بول کے دیں نہ کبھی دیواریں

سر پٹختے ہی رہے دروازے

لوگ محفوظ ہوئے کمروں میں

برف کی زد میں رہے دروازے

کبھی سورج کی کبھی ظلمت کی

مار سہتے ہی رہے دروازے

رات بھر چاندنی ٹکرائی مگر

صبح ہوتے ہی کھلے دروازے

دیکھ وہ شامؔ کی آہٹ ابھری

دیکھ وہ بند ہوئے دروازے
