اب جلد یہ بے آبیٔ موسم کی بلا جائے

اب جلد یہ بے آبیٔ موسم کی بلا جائے

اشجار کی فریاد سے سیلاب نہ آ جائے

اتنا بھی لہو کو نہ جنوں خیز کیا جائے

پھوٹے رگ گل سے تو رگ سنگ میں آ جائے

بارش ہے تو ایسی کہ لرز جائے زمیں بھی

پانی ہے کہ مٹی کو بھی تلوار بنا جائے

لوگ ایسے کہ سینے کی کپٹ شیشے پہ لکھ دیں

ہم ایسے کہ پتھر کو بھی پتھر نہ کہا جائے

اتنا بھی نہ ہو صحن کہ در تک میں پہنچ کر

در کھولوں تو درویش دعا گو ہی چلا جائے

اپنا ہی لہو قاتل تہذیب و نسب ہے

اس شہر میں کس کس سے خبردار رہا جائے
