مرحلے سخت امتحان کے ہیں

چل پڑے ہم بھی سینہ تان کے ہیں

آسماں زیر پر ہیں جو طائر

میری ہی سطح کی اڑان کے ہیں

مشتعل رہنے دیں انہیں کہ بجھائیں

یہ چراغ اپنے ہی مکان کے ہیں

کون کہتا ہے شب کو شب نہ کہو

کچھ قرینے بھی تو زبان کے ہیں

آدمی اب کہاں زمیں پہ رہے

سب فرشتے ہی آسمان کے ہیں

جن کے شب خوں سے ہے دکھی یہ زمیں

جانے وہ لوگ کس جہان کے ہیں

زد پہ ہم ہیں تو زد پہ تم بھی ہو

تیر ہم بھی کڑی کمان کے ہیں
