راہیں تو بہت تھیں زندگی میں

ہم کھو گئے عشق و عاشقی میں

جو بات کسی میں چاہتے تھے

اب تک نہ ملی ہمیں کسی میں

وہ لمحہ جو تیرے ساتھ گزرا

وہ لمحہ بہت ہے زندگی میں

پیکر ہے وہ ایک سادگی کا

سو رنگ ہیں اس کی سادگی میں

دریا پہ بھی جا کے لوٹ آئے

ڈوبے ہوئے کیف تشنگی میں

انجام بہار سوجھتا کیا

آغاز بہار کی خوشی میں

ایسے بہت آفتاب ابھرے

جو ڈوب گئے ہیں تیرگی میں
