وقتی یہ حساب ظلم کب ہے

تاریخ کے حافظے میں سب ہے

ہم پہلے بھی کم دکھی نہیں تھے

یہ حال کبھی نہ تھا جو اب ہے

جانوں کو لگا شدید آزار

سنگین ہی کچھ اس کا سبب ہے

وہ رت ہے نہ اب وہ ہم نوا ہیں

اب نوحۂ خو گری ہی کار لب ہے

احساس کے بند ٹوٹتے ہیں

لیکن یہ شکستگی عجب ہے

دل جلتا ہے کچھ کھلے بھی آخر

کب تک یہ تمازت غضب ہے

کیا موت ہی اب ہے چارۂ جاں

ہر لمحۂ‌ عمر خوں طلب ہے
