دن ڈھلے کرتا ہوں بوڑھی ہڈیوں سے ساز باز

جب تلک شب ڈھل نہیں جاتی جواں رہتا ہوں میں

کیا خبر ان کو بھی آتا ہو کبھی میرا خیال

کن ملالوں میں ہوں کیسا ہوں کہاں رہتا ہوں میں

جگمگاتے جاگتے شہروں میں رہتا ہوں ملول

سوئی سوئی بستیوں میں شادماں رہتا ہوں میں

بوتا رہتا ہوں ہوا میں گم شدہ نغموں کے بیج

وہ سمجھتے ہیں کہ مصروف فغاں رہتا ہوں میں
