عشق کیا کیا آفتیں لاتا رہا

آخر اب دوری میں جی جاتا رہا

مہر و مہ گل پھول سب تھے پر ہمیں

چہرئی چہرہ ہی وہ بھاتا رہا

دل ہوا کب عشق کی رہ کا دلیل

میں تو خود گم ہی اسے پاتا رہا

منہ دکھاتا برسوں وہ خوش رو نہیں

چاہ کا یوں کب تلک ناتا رہا

کچھ نہ میں سمجھا جنون و عشق میں

دیر ناصح مجھ کو سمجھاتا رہا

داغ تھا جو سر پہ میرے شمع ساں

پاؤں تک مجھ کو وہی کھاتا رہا

کیسے کیسے رک گئے ہیں میرؔ ہم

مدتوں منہ تک جگر آتا رہا
