جس جگہ دور جام ہوتا ہے

میر تقی میر

جس جگہ دور جام ہوتا ہے

واں یہ عاجز مدام ہوتا ہے

ہم تو اک حرف کے نہیں ممنون

کیسا خط و پیام ہوتا ہے

تیغ ناکاموں پہ نہ ہر دم کھینچ

اک کرشمے میں کام ہوتا ہے

پوچھ مت آہ عاشقوں کی معاش

روز ان کا بھی شام ہوتا ہے

زخم بن غم بن اور غصہ بن

اپنا کھانا حرام ہوتا ہے

شیخ کی سی ہی شکل ہے شیطان

جس پہ شب احتلام ہوتا ہے

قتل کو میں کہا تو اٹھ بولا

آج کل صبح و شام ہوتا ہے

آخر آؤں گا نعش پر اب آہ

کہ یہ عاشق تمام ہوتا ہے

میرؔ صاحب بھی اس کے ہاں تھے پر

جیسے کوئی غلام ہوتا ہے
