رہتا ہے ہڈیوں سے مری جو ہما لگا

کچھ درد عاشقی کا اسے بھی مزہ لگا

غافل نہ سوز عشق سے رہ پھر کباب ہے

گر لائحہ اس آگ کا ٹک دل کو جا لگا

دیکھا ہمیں جہاں وہ تہاں آگ ہو گیا

بھڑکا رکھا ہے لوگوں نے اس کو لگا لگا

مہلت تنک بھی ہو تو سخن کچھ اثر کرے

میں اٹھ گیا کہ غیر ترے کانوں آ لگا

اب آب چشم ہی ہے ہمارا محیط خلق

دریا کو ہم نے کب کا کنارے رکھا لگا

ہر چند اس کی تیغ ستم تھی بلند لیک

وہ طور بد ہمیں تو قیامت بھلا لگا

مجلس میں اس کی بار نہ مجھ کو ملی کبھو

دروازے ہی سے گرچہ بہت میں رہا لگا

بوسہ لبوں کا مانگتے ہی منہ بگڑ گیا

کیا اتنی میری بات کا تم کو برا لگا

عالم کی سیر میرؔ کی صحبت میں ہو گئی

طالع سے میرے ہاتھ یہ بے دست و پا لگا
