تم مرے بعد بھی حسیں رہنا

پیڑ کی طرح جس جگہ پھوٹا

عمر بھر ہے مجھے وہیں رہنا

مشغلہ ہے شریف لوگوں کا

صورت مار آستیں رہنا

دلی اجڑی اداس بستی میں

چاہتے تھے کئی مکیں رہنا

مر نہ جائے تمہاری پھلواری

قریۂ زخم کے قریں رہنا

مسکراتا ہوں عادتاً اسلمؔ

کون سمجھے مرا غمیں رہنا
