روداد مجھ سے دل کی سنائی نہیں گئی
اس واسطے رگوں سے دہائی نہیں گئی
اک خواب تو اٹھا لیا میں نے چرا کے آنکھ
تعبیر اس کی مجھ سے اٹھائی نہیں گئی
گو ہجر پورے شہر کی چوکھٹ سے اٹھ گیا
لیکن مری گلی سے جدائی نہیں گئی
پتھر بنا ہوا تھا میں اپنے وجود میں
دریا سے میری لاش اٹھائی نہیں گئی
پشتے میں باندھتا رہا اپنے وجود پر
لیکن مرے بدن کی کٹائی نہیں گئی
اتنا ہی فرق ہے مرے اور قیس میں حضور
بس مجھ سے اپنی خاک اڑائی نہیں گئی
چہرے پہ گرچہ تو نے تغافل سجا لیا
آنکھوں سے دل کی بات چھپائی نہیں گئی
اس بے وفا سے ترک تعلق تو کر لیا
تصویر اس کی مجھ سے جلائی نہیں گئی

dariya se meri lash uThai nahin gai
pushte main bandhta raha apne wajud par
lekin mere badan ki kaTai nahin gai
itna hi farq hai mere aur qais mein huzur
bas mujh se apni KHak uDai nahin gai
chehre pe garche tu ne taghaful saja liya
aankhon se dil ki baat chhupai nahin gai
us bewafa se tark-e-talluq to kar liya
taswir us ki mujh se jalai nahin gai
