اشک ہو آنکھیں بھگونا ہو تو پھر
آنکھ میں سپنا سلونا ہو تو پھر
کب تلک بخیہ گری کا شوق بھی
عمر بھر سینا پرونا ہو تو پھر
دوست انٹرنیٹ پر اچھا چلو
اور گلے جو لگ کے رونا ہو تو پھر
وہ مری دل جوئی کو حاضر مگر
اس کا ہونا بھی نہ ہونا ہو تو پھر
اس کو پانے کی طلب پر سوچ لو
اس کو پانا اس کو کھونا ہو تو پھر
نازکی تو سیکھی اس نے پھول سے
تتلیوں کا بوجھ ڈھونا ہو تو پھر
یوں جو خوش ہو اس کو ہنستا دیکھ کر
اس کا ہنسنا اس کا رونا ہو تو پھر
یوں تو گجروں سے کلائی سج گئی
چاہ اس کی چاندی سونا ہو تو پھر
لوگ کہتے ہیں کہ دنیا گول ہے
مفلسی کونا بہ کونا ہو تو پھر
احمدؔ اپنے دل کو خوش کرنے چلے
اور غم دل کا کھلونا ہو تو پھر
