اس طرح بیٹھے ہو کیوں بیزار سے
بھر گیا دل راحت دیدار سے
اشک کیا ڈھلکا ترے رخسار سے
گر پڑا ہوں جیسے میں کہسار سے
در کھلا تو میری ہی جانب کھلا
سر پٹختا رہ گیا دیوار سے
ایک دن خاموش ہو کر دیکھیے
لطف گر اٹھنے لگے تکرار سے
دیکھ لو یہ زرد آنکھیں خشک ہونٹ
پوچھتے ہو حال کیا بیمار سے
قدر کیجئے فیض جس جس سے ملے
سایۂ دیوار ہے دیوار سے
کل مبادا ہو یہاں ویرانیاں
ڈر رہا ہوں گرمئ بازار سے
جھوٹ چلتا ہے مگر اک آدھ بار
اے قصیدہ خواں حذر تکرار سے
بک رہی ہے زندگی کے مول موت
جائیے لے آئیے بازار سے
مانگتے ہیں ووٹ اس پر طنطنہ
پیچ و خم نکلے نہیں دستار سے
بند کر ٹی وی کی خبریں بے خبر
چل کوئی کالم سنا اخبار سے
دوستی کی محفلیں قائم رہیں
یہ دعا ہے اپنی پالنہار سے
تجھ میں احمدؔ عیب ہیں لاکھوں مگر
واسطہ ہے تیرا کس ستار سے
