میں نے دیکھا کمال ہوتے ہوئے
ہجر کی دھوپ کیوں نہیں ڈھلتی
جشن شام وصال ہوتے ہوئے
دے گئی مستقل خلش دل کو
آرزو پائمال ہوتے ہوئے
لوگ جیتے ہیں جینا چاہتے ہیں
زندگانی وبال ہوتے ہوئے
کس قدر اختلاف کرتا ہے
وہ مرا ہم خیال ہوتے ہوئے
پئے الزام آ رکیں مجھ پر
ساری آنکھیں سوال ہوتے ہوئے
آج بھی لوگ عشق کرتے ہیں
سامنے کی مثال ہوتے ہوئے
خود سے ہنس کر نہ مل سکے احمدؔ
خوش سخن خوش خصال ہوتے ہوئے
