وہ دن بھی تھے کہ خواب کے ہیرے جڑے رہے
پوشیدہ تل کی اوٹ میں کہسار جاں رہا
برسوں ہماری ذات پہ پردے پڑے رہے
اک دندناتی ریل سی عمریں گزر گئیں
دو پٹریوں کے بیچ وہی فاصلے رہے
اک عمر تیری یاد کے شہر طلسم میں
پتھر کا نصف آدمی بن کر کھڑے رہے
اس خاک رہ کو کر دیا ہم دوش زر مگر
سنگ آستان یار کے پتھر بنے رہے
