منظور نہیں رنج کو راحت مرے دل کی
فرقت کو گوارا نہیں فرقت مرے دل کی
کیا پوچھتے ہو چارہ گرو درد و الم کو
صورت سے عیاں ہوتی ہے حالت مرے دل کی
ہر وقت مصیبت میں ہے ہر وقت بلا میں
کیا درد و الم سے ہوئی خلقت مرے دل کی
باور نہیں آتا ہے تو اے جان تم آ کر
خود دیکھ لو حالت شب فرقت مرے دل کی
وعدہ تو کیا ہے شب فرقت میں اجل نے
شاید کہ ٹھکانے لگی محنت مرے دل کی
وہ غیر کی الفت سے اگر باز بھی آئیں
جائے گی نہ تا زیست کدورت مرے دل کی
کیا لطف ملا ہجر کا اس کو بھی کہیں لطفؔ
کیوں غیر کو منظور ہے راحت مرے دل کی

kya puchhte ho chaaragaro dard-o-alam ko
surat se ayan hoti hai haalat mere dil ki
har-waqt musibat mein hai har-waqt bala mein
kya dard-o-alam se hui KHilqat mere dil ki
bawar nahin aata hai to ai jaan tum aa kar
KHud dekh lo haalat shab-e-furqat mere dil ki
wa'da to kiya hai shab-e-furqat mein ajal ne
shayad ki Thikane lagi mehnat mere dil ki
wo ghair ki ulfat se agar baz bhi aaen
jaegi na ta-zist kudurat mere dil ki
kya lutf mila hijr ka us ko bhi kahin 'lutf'
kyon ghair ko manzur hai rahat mere dil ki
