جان جائے اگر تو جانے دے

اپنی تصویر تو بنانے دے

آخر ایسی بھی کیا ہے حد بندی

ہاتھ کو ہاتھ تک تو آنے دے

ایک ہی آگ کا بجھانا کیا

دوسری آگ بھی لگانے دے

کیا ضروری ہے خود کو کھویا جائے

پا رہا ہوں تجھے سو پانے دے

دستکیں کیوں ہوا پہ دیتا ہے

در و دیوار تو بنانے دے

میں نیا پیرہن بدل دوں گا

داغ آتا ہے اب تو آنے دے

زندگی تو ہمیں پسند آئی

اب ہمیں اپنے گھر بھی جانے دے

تیری زلفوں میں تیرگی ہے بہت

لا مجھے روشنی بنانے دے

راستہ گر نہیں تو پھر محسنؔ

مجھ کو بے راستہ ہی جانے دے
